An automated assistant on the line and in the chat — around the clock, including weekends and holidays.
On our phone line and in the chat you are answered by an automated assistant — not a person; it tells you so at the start. It handles most things right away: it checks your line, outages and payments, and logs faults for the technicians. The chat on this site works around the clock, at night, on weekends and during holidays. Whatever a colleague must deal with, the assistant logs it and our colleagues will get back to you.

So that we never tell a stranger anything about your account, we verify you with your contract number (you'll find it on your invoice) and a six-digit code that we send to the e-mail registered on the contract. The code is valid for five minutes. There is no other way — we will never verify you by name, address or personal ID number, and if someone asks you for those, it is not us.
If your internet does not work after replacing the router, open ip.ostv.sk. You can register the address you see there yourself — either right on that page with the Activate this IP address online button, or dictate it to the assistant. It works around the clock.
The accuracy of the answers depends on what we have on record about you — so please check your contact details:
Send us a change via the form (department Information and orders) or to zmluvy(zavinač)ostv.sk. Just your contract number and the new details.
Try the chat first — the Open chat button is in the bottom-right corner of the page. It replies instantly and solves most things on the spot, while the form on the contact page waits for our colleagues' office hours. If the chat can't solve it itself, it logs the fault or request and makes sure a colleague picks it up.
First a restart — it fixes most cases: switch off both our device and your router for 30 seconds, then turn them back on. Our device is an optical terminal (ONT) on fibre, a PoE power adapter on a wireless (antenna) connection, and a cable modem on coax. If that doesn't help, write to the chat or call — the assistant will check whether there is an outage in your town or an issue with your line, and can log a fault for the technicians right away. Please also check you have no unpaid balance; the connection is blocked when there is one.
If the LOS or REG light on the optical terminal (ONT) is blinking or lit red, the terminal either can't see the optical signal or isn't registered on our network. Check that the fibre cable isn't unplugged or kinked; if it's fine, get in touch — we'll sort it out (register the terminal or send a technician). A restart won't help here. If only the power light (POWER) is on and nothing else works, it's usually a weak power adapter for the terminal (too little voltage) — it needs replacing. We'll handle that too; just get in touch.
Try a restart first — simply switch the device off (ideally unplug it from power), wait 30 seconds and switch it back on. Do this with both our device and your router. Do not press the RESET button on the device — that would erase its settings and cause a bigger problem. On fibre our device is an optical terminal (ONT), on a wireless (antenna) connection a PoE power adapter, and on coax a cable modem. Short drop-outs usually stop after a restart.
If it keeps dropping even then, get in touch — write to the chat or call. It helps if you tell us when and how often it drops and whether it's only on Wi-Fi or also on a device connected by cable. That lets us hand the fault to the technicians with what they actually need.
Measure your speed at test.ostv.sk — over cable, not Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi is always slower than the line and depends on distance, walls and how many devices are downloading at once). Tell the result to the assistant in the chat or on the line. If it is significantly lower than what you pay for, it logs it for the technicians.
We'll tell you after verification — in the chat or on the phone. We need your contract number (it's on your invoice) and a six-digit code that we send to the e-mail on your contract. Without verification we won't reveal anything about your account, not even to you — it protects your data. Invoices are sent by e-mail.
By bank transfer to our account, with the variable symbol from your invoice. If you're not sure, ask the assistant for your payment details — it will send the IBAN, variable symbol and amount to your e-mail.
We match payments manually, usually the next working day, and only then restore the connection — it is not automatic or instant. If you need it sooner, send us the proof of payment: during office hours to agenda(zavinač)ostv.sk, outside office hours and at weekends to sos(zavinač)ostv.sk.
A new router has a different IP address and we have to have it on record. Open ip.ostv.sk — you'll see your address there and can activate it right on that page, around the clock and without waiting. You verify with your contract number and the code from your e-mail. Or dictate it to the assistant in the chat or on the phone. Note that the previous IP address is blocked after the change, so if you switch between devices, let us know.
Please always activate the router — we register one IP address per connection, so activate it from the router itself, not from a computer or another device connected behind it.
If the internet still isn't up, please also check the cabling: on the router, our cable belongs in the port labelled WAN / Internet (usually a different colour). If it has ended up in one of the LAN ports by mistake, move it to WAN and restart the router.
Any ordinary Wi-Fi router with a WAN / Internet port will do. If you're choosing a new one, these proven models work well:
After connecting a new router, remember to activate its IP address (see the question above).
Current prices are always on the pricing page, the internet offer also on the Internet page. The assistant will tell you the prices in the chat too — just ask; it gives that information without any verification.
Ask the assistant in the chat for the channel name and it will tell you whether we carry it and in which packages. You can also browse and search the full channel list and packages on the Television page. The Rodina package is Základ, Adam and Eva together; Senior is only for old-age or disability pensioners and applies to one television per contract.
The assistant can't change this for you — it's a change to your contract. Write to us at zmluvy(zavinač)ostv.sk or call extension 1 (Information and orders, Monday to Friday 8:00 – 16:00).
Check the coverage map or ask the assistant in the chat — it will tell you for a town and for an address, including which technology we connect with there. Your order is then handled by our colleagues on extension 1 or at zmluvy(zavinač)ostv.sk.
Yes. Your connection includes Whalebone security protection right in our network — it automatically blocks phishing, scam and malicious sites for all your devices (computer, phone, TV and smart devices), with no installation and at no extra charge. There's nothing to set up, it just works. It doesn't replace antivirus or caution with passwords, though — it's an extra layer of protection.
Didn't find your question? Write to the chat — it replies instantly and works around the clock. Or call 037 200 1234: extension 1 information and orders, extension 2 billing, extension 3 technical support.
